Job Description
Civil Engineering Draftsperson
Daily tasks include
• Responsible for ensuring plans are drafted in accordance with Company Standards and QA requirements.
• Carry out drafting work to the standards prescribed by the appropriate industry bodies and internal drafting standards.
• Carry out tasks as determined and prioritised by the instructing Engineer or Senior Civil Designer.
• Undertake storage of both hard copy and digital drawings in accordance with Company QA procedures.
• Update drawing register in accordance with QA procedures.
• Organising the copying and/or printing of documents both on and off-site.
• Develop a level of technical knowledge commensurate with the requirements of the position.
• Ongoing training as deemed appropriate.
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of CAD software
- An eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality technical drawings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise with engineers and other stakeholders
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
- A safety-first mindset and understanding of relevant industry regulations
- Minimum 1 year of work experience required in the occupation or closely related occupation.
- Minimum qualification must be a Diploma or Advanced Diploma
Annual salary: $83,700 + superannuation (40 proposed hours of work per week)
