Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Drafter to support the delivery of residential and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will assist in preparing technical drawings, interpreting engineering specifications, conducting site-related data collection, and supporting project compliance and construction coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities
The Civil Engineering Drafter will be responsible for:
·Prepare and update civil and construction drawings for residential, renovation, extension, and commercial building projects using AutoCAD and related drafting software
·Work closely with our engineering team to develop practical drafting solutions that align with site conditions and project requirements
·Produce site layouts, drainage details, structural drawings, and construction documentation for various building and infrastructure works
·Review architectural and engineering plans and make drawing revisions throughout different stages of construction
·Assist with site measurements, project data collection, and technical documentation to support construction planning and coordination
·Liaise with teams to ensure drawings, specifications, and construction details are accurately reflected and updated
·Support project delivery by assisting with material quantity calculations, construction documentation, and compliance-related drafting requirements
·Participate in site inspections and assist in resolving drafting or construction detail issues during active project works
·Maintain organised project records, drawing registers, and revision documentation in accordance with company procedures and Australian building standards
·Provide drafting support across multiple projects to help ensure construction activities are completed efficiently, accurately, and within project timelines
