Role Overview

The Chef will lead our kitchen operations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes while maintaining exceptional culinary standards. This role is essential in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and present high-quality dishes for daily service and special events
  2. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  3. Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and new recipes
  4. Manage stock control, ordering, and food preparation costs
  5. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations
  6. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
  7. Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and service standards
  8. Assist in recruitment and recommendations for kitchen improvements and equipment

Qualifications & Experience Required

  1. Relevant qualification such as Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  2. Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen or restaurant environment
  3. Strong leadership and kitchen management abilities
  4. Knowledge of various cuisines and modern cooking techniques
  5. Excellent time management and organizational skills
  6. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Position: Cook

Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum

Role Overview

The Cook will support the daily kitchen operations by preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and presentation standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with restaurant standards
  2. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation are maintained
  3. Assist with stock management and kitchen inventory control
  4. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen
  5. Support the maintenance and proper use of kitchen equipment

Qualifications & Experience Required
