We offer comfortable accommodation, warm professional service and delicious cuisine all set in a country oasis. We are looking for a qualified and experienced chef and cook to join our business on a full-time basis.

To be considered for this position, you must:

  1. Have previous experience in the industry or in a similar role (at least 1 year)
  2. Diploma/Certificate III/IV in cookery or equivalent
  3. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  4. Passion for creating delicious and high-quality food.
  5. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Chef Job Responsibilities:

  1. Developing new dishes and planning menus considering preparation costs including labour cost
  2. Engaging in food preparation and cooking
  3. Overseeing food preparation to maintain consistently high standards.
  4. Providing demonstrations of techniques and offering advice on cooking procedures.
  5. Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
  6. Communicating and enforcing hygiene standards.
  7. Collaborating with managers, and kitchen and waiting staff on food preparation issues
  8. Demonstrating techniques and providing advice on cooking procedures.
  9. Conducting inventory checks in the kitchen and placing supply orders as needed.
  10. Selecting and training staff
  11. Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and updating policies regularly as needed.

Cook job responsibilities

  1. Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items.
  2. Prepare high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
  3. Store excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
  4. Ensure that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
  5. Monitor supplies and re-order stock as needed.
  6. Ensure that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
  7. Clean and sterilize food preparation areas.
  8. Assist other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
  9. Efficiently resolve problems with customers’ orders.
  10. Ensure that food health and safety regulations are followed.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Pay: $75,000.00- $85,000.00 per year
