We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified chef to assist in running our busy restaurant kitchen. Mamao 338 offers a traditional Thai dining experience It features high quality Thai cuisine, with an emphasis on fabulous, fresh and seasonal food sourced from the local area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan menus and design dishes based on seasonality and availability of ingredients
  2. Manage and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene are maintained
  3. Ensure that all dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standard and presented beautifully
  4. Maintain accurate records of food costs and wastage
  5. Order and manage stock levels of ingredients and kitchen equipment
  6. Ensure that health and safety standards are met in the kitchen at all times
  7. Continuously develop and innovate new dishes to enhance the menu

Skills and experience

  1. Excellent knowledge of Thai cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
  2. Prior experience in a comparable restaurant
  3. Proven experience leading kitchen staff
  4. A creative approach to menu design and dish presentation
  5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadline
  6. Passion for Thai food!
  7. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
