A busy beachfront hospitality venue located in Adelaide’s western suburbs is seeking skilled and passionate Chefs to join their dynamic kitchen team.

SkillQuest Solutions are seeking two qualified and experienced Chefs on behalf of our client, a well-established hospitality venue positioned within a popular coastal community setting in West Beach, SA. The venue offers casual dining and bistro-style service in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, catering to members, local patrons and visitors throughout the week.

The kitchen delivers a diverse menu featuring modern Australian favourites, grilled dishes, seafood, burgers, share plates and classic pub-style meals, with a strong focus on fresh ingredients, consistency and high-quality service across lunch and dinner operations. Renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, community focus and busy service periods, the venue operates within a fast-paced hospitality environment committed to delivering an enjoyable dining experience.

Position - Chef (2 positions available)

Location – West Beach, SA 5024

Salary - $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent

THE ROLE:

We are seeking two talented and motivated Chefs to join a friendly and professional kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-volume hospitality venue focused on delivering quality meals, efficient service and consistent food presentation standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Lead and motivate the kitchen team to consistently deliver exceptional results.

• Demonstrate and guide kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods and presentation standards.

• Prepare and cook a wide range of meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and function service.

• Assist in menu planning, food preparation procedures and estimating food and labour costs.

• Monitor food quality throughout preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure consistency and portion control.

• Manage stock rotation, food storage and ordering processes in accordance with food safety standards.

• Assist with rostering, training and supervising junior kitchen staff.

• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with OH&S and Food safety regulations.

• Maintain effective communication within the kitchen team to support smooth service operations.

This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure and a genuine passion for hospitality and quality food service.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Relevant qualification, such as a Diploma of Hospitality Management - Commercial Cookery (or agreed equivalent).

• Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) experience as a Chef within a busy restaurant, bistro or hospitality venue.

• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with high-volume service periods.

• Understanding of kitchen operations, stock control and food costing procedures.

• Knowledge of OH&S and Food Safety regulations.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Available to work across weekdays, weekends and evenings.

You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
