Established 1988 Fish at the Rocks is a well established seafood restaurant located in Sydneys historic Rocks precinct.

The restaurant is known for its premium seafood focused dining experience.

Operating seven days a week , the business caters to both local and international clientele within a fast paced hospitality enviroment.

The restaurant seats approximately 60 patrons and prepares the majority of its menu items inhouse, with seasonal menu updates implemented throughout the year , to reflect fresh seasonal produce availability and evolving customer preferences.

About the Role

Fish at the Rocks is seeking a qualified chef to join its kitchen team on a fulltime basis .The successful candidate will work closely with the head chef and broader kitchen team to support daily kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of food quality , presentation , hygiene and consistency.

The role is ideally suited to a chef with experience in seafood a-la-carte restaurants .

Some knowledge of stock control and an ability to input menu ideas is desirable

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role applicants should possess a minium of 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen enviroment , preferably with seafood restaurant experience.

An ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced enviroment .

A sound knowledge of food safety , seafood handling , storage and hygiene requirements

A Food Safety Supervisors Certificate would be beneficial

Employment Requirements

You may be required to work weekends , and lunch / dinner shifts

You should have current working rights status to work fulltime in Australia
