They are seeking a Skilled and Experienced Chef to join their team on a full-time basis. This role is crucial in supporting kitchen operations, maintaining culinary standards, overseeing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring every dish served reflects reputation for quality, consistency, and excellence.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook a full range of all-day breakfast and brunch items such as eggs, smashed avo, pancakes, sandwiches, and café-style plates, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and flavour during busy service periods.
  2. Efficiently manage high-volume service, particularly during breakfast and weekend rush periods, ensuring timely preparation and plating of dishes while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
  3. Prepare ingredients in advance for smooth service flow, including chopping, portioning, and pre-cooking components to support fast execution of café menu items throughout the day.
  4. Maintain high standards for taste, portioning, and plating presentation in line with modern café expectations, ensuring every dish reflects the venue’s premium, fresh, and visually appealing style
  5. Maintain strict compliance with food safety standards (HACCP), ensure proper storage and labelling, follow FIFO practices, and keep the kitchen clean, organised, and fully stocked to support daily operations.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a commercial kitchen.
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
  3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks during service.
  4. Proven attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support overall kitchen operations.
  6. Ability to guide and support junior kitchen staff.
