Chef required for a well-established Australian business “SOUTHSIDE CUCINA PIZZERIA” located at 1 Thomas Mitchell Drive, WODONGA VIC 3690. Prospective applicants must have good prior experience of working commercially as a chef. Duties include.

  1. Monitor the kitchen staff during pre-cooking preparations.
  2. Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of food preparation, food presentation.
  3. Prepare specialized food items from the restaurant menu
  4. Preparing food items keeping in mind the nutrition value of the items included.
  5. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as per restaurant’s food recipes or personal judgment.
  6. Planning menus & recipes.
  7. Estimating food and Labor costs and ordering food supplies.
  8. Plan staff rosters.
  9. Discussing food preparation issues with Manager and other kitchen staff.
  10. Time to time, train junior staff.
  11. Managing the organization of all stock and stock control for the venue
  12. Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
  13. Upholding food safety and hygiene standards

In Return, for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package 77K + Super and receive ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your skills. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Diploma of Hospitality) and 1 - 2 years of practical experience working as a CHEF will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, early shifts, late shifts & public holidays).
