About the role
Medusa Greek Taverna is seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic team in Sydney, NSW, 2000. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering exceptional Greek cuisine to our customers in a vibrant and fast-paced restaurant environment. The position is a full time role. We are offering the suitable candidate a base salary of $77000-82000 plus superannuation for full-time position with at least 38 hours per week.
What you'll be doing
- Executing the restaurant's menu to the highest quality standards
- Preparing fresh, high-quality ingredients and creating innovative, flavourful dishes
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate meal delivery
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Contributing to the development of new menu items and specials
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in Greek Cuisine or similar restaurant
- Relevant Qualification in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality Management
- Strong knowledge of variety of Greek cuisine and cooking techniques
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
- Food safety and hygiene certification
