The venue provides a vibrant, interactive atmosphere featuring share-style dining, curated drinks, and modern hospitality experiences designed for casual guests, corporate functions, celebrations, and group events.

We are seeking a Skilled and Experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is integral to leading kitchen operations, upholding culinary standards, and ensuring every dish served reflects the venue’s reputation for quality, consistency, and excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation and cooking in accordance with established recipes and venue standards, maintaining compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements, supporting efficient kitchen operations during peak service periods, assisting with menu development and stock management, and fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing kitchen environment.

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per annum + superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of menu items, including share plates, pizzas, burgers, mains, snacks, desserts, and contemporary casual dining dishes in accordance with established recipes and venue standards
  2. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, mise en place, cooking processes, and service coordination to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of meals
  3. Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, taste, portion control, and presentation in line with brand and customer expectations
  4. Assist in menu planning, seasonal menu updates, and development of new dishes to support the venue’s dynamic food offering and social dining experience
  5. Supervise and support kitchen staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods, functions, and events
  6. Monitor stock levels, coordinate ordering requirements, and oversee stock rotation, storage, and inventory control to minimise wastage and maintain product quality
  7. Ensure kitchen equipment is operated, maintained, and cleaned safely and efficiently in accordance with operational and safety procedures
  8. Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards
  9. Monitor food handling, storage, labelling, and preparation practices to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements
  10. Collaborate with management and front-of-house teams to support service excellence, operational efficiency, and a high-quality customer dining experience

Skills and Experience

  1. Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a commercial kitchen.
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
  3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks during service.
  4. Proven attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support overall kitchen operations.
  6. Ability to guide and support junior kitchen staff.
