We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter and Joiner to join our growing team on a full-time basis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Review project plans, site instructions and construction details to determine work requirements and installation methods
- Organise and prepare timber products, building supplies and related materials for site activities
- Measure, mark and process materials to required sizes using appropriate woodworking equipment and tools
- Build and install structural timber components including wall framing, roof sections, flooring systems and internal supports
- Complete on-site fitting of doors, window units, trims, external panels and other finishing elements
- Assemble and install customised timber fixtures and prefabricated components for residential and commercial projects
- Undertake detailed joinery tasks to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of timber sections and completed structures
- Check completed work to ensure measurements, levels and finishes meet project and safety standards
- Carry out modification, replacement and repair work to existing timber structures and fittings when required
- Assist with construction-related tasks involving formwork, laminated materials, metal fixtures and other composite building products
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment at all times
