About BaptistCare Kularoo Centre, Forster

Located in the beautiful seaside town of Forster, Kularoo Centre is a well‑established and highly regarded part of the local community. With 160 beds, the centre offers a range of services including respite, Ageing in Place, dementia, and palliative care — all within a warm, country‑style homestead environment close to shops and essential amenities.

Your Role

As a Care Service Employee, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to live well by providing high‑quality, person‑centred care. You will build genuine connections and contribute to the wellbeing, dignity, and comfort of each resident.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Partnering with residents to help them achieve their goals through the implementation of individual care plans.
  • Demonstrating kindness and respect while assisting with personal and daily care, including showering, shaving, dressing, general cleaning, mobility support, meals, and activities of interest.
  • Supporting resident independence by understanding the things that matter most to them and their families.
  • Reporting progress, changes, requests, or concerns to your supervisor or manager in a timely manner.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or be undertaking Undergraduate Registered Nursing studies
  • Be physically able to carry out duties safely and efficiently
  • Have basic technology/computer skills and a willingness to participate in ongoing education
  • Be able to understand and communicate effectively in English
  • Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and team members
  • Demonstrate an understanding of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and model our values in your daily work
