Durk's Cafe + Eatery Charlestown is a vibrant cafe focused on delivering exceptional food, coffee, and customer service. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to lead our team, oversee daily operations, and help drive the continued success of our business.
As Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the cafe, ensuring efficient operations, outstanding customer experiences, and strong team performance. You will play a key role in maintaining service standards, managing staff, and achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead, train, supervise, and motivate cafe staff.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Manage staff rosters, attendance, and performance.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering with suppliers.
- Maintain food safety, workplace health and safety, and hygiene standards.
- Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Assist in achieving sales targets and controlling operating costs.
- Support marketing initiatives and local community engagement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience with rostering, stock control, and budgeting.
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
Qualifications
- Relevant Hospitality management qualification (Diploma level);

- $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
