food and refreshing drinks in a welcoming café environment. We specialise in freshly
made bagels, hearty sandwiches, quality coffee, acai bowls, fresh juices, and a range of
café-style meals. Billys Cafe is committed to providing excellent customer service and a
positive dining experience for all customers.
We are currently seeking a hands-on and experienced Cafe Manager to lead our team
and oversee the daily operations of the café.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the café, supporting
staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring customers receive a high-quality
experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct and coordinate the overall operations and administration of the café to ensure
efficient business performance
• Manage daily business operations while maintaining high standards of customer
service and operational efficiency
• Supervise, train, and support staff while maintaining workplace performance and
service standards
• Recruit, onboard, and roster employees to maintain adequate staffing levels and
smooth operations
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain relationships with suppliers and
vendors
• Oversee financial transactions, operational expenditure, budgeting, and cost control
• Maintain accurate business, financial, and operational records and prepare reports for
business owners
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety
(OH&S) requirements
• Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain
customers
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally to maintain
customer satisfaction
• Coordinate operational procedures and implement policies to improve service
delivery and workplace efficiency
• Maintain a positive customer experience and professional reputation of the
establishment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Demonstrated experience in hospitality and café operations
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage staff, budgets, inventory control, ordering, rostering, and
daily venue operations
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a calm and professional
approach
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment across weekdays and weekends
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety
(OH&S) requirements
• Relevant qualification and/or at least 2 years of relevant hospitality management
experience
