Rhinomax Campers is a Sunshine Coast-based Australian manufacturer of premium off-road hybrid campers. We are seeking a full-time Cabinet Maker to join our production team at our Kunda Park workshop.
About the role
The Cabinet Maker will be responsible for the manufacture, assembly, fitting and installation of cabinetry and related components used in the production of premium hybrid campers. The role requires a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work from drawings and specifications in a manufacturing environment.
Key duties and responsibilities
● Examining drawings, work orders and production specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation requirements
● Selecting, measuring, cutting and preparing materials including timber, plywood, laminates, particleboard and other engineered wood products
● Setting up, programming and operating workshop machinery and equipment, including edgebanders, CNC routers and other cutting and shaping tools
● Manufacturing cabinetry components and assembling cabinet sections and completed units in accordance with technical drawings and production standards
● Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawer systems, shelving and other hardware to cabinetry components
● Installing completed cabinetry modules and internal fit-out components into camper units with a high level of accuracy and finish
● Applying finishes, trims and protective materials to cabinetry components where required
● Inspecting finished work to ensure quality, fit, finish and compliance with production specifications
● Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop and work area
● Working collaboratively with the production team and supervisors to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
Skills and experience required
● A relevant trade qualification in Cabinet Making OR or at least three years of full-time relevant work experience
● Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, assembling and installing cabinetry
● Experience reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications
● Experience operating cabinet making machinery and tools, including edgebanders
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
● Good organisational and time management skills
● The ability to work effectively in a team environment
● Experience with CNC routers and experience in caravan or camper manufacturing will be highly regarded, but are not essential.
