Overview:
Clearwater Cattle Pty Ltd is part of RA Rogers & Co, a family-owned and operated beef cattle grain-feeding and grazing business.
We are looking for a Beef Cattle Farm Worker to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, welfare, and efficient management of the cattle herd through daily monitoring, yard work, and stock movement. This role also supports the smooth running of the property by operating farm machinery and maintaining critical infrastructure, particularly water delivery systems and fencing. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 45 hours per week based in Scott River, WA.
Main tasks:
-Prioritising and managing overall cattle health, welfare, and biosecurity.
-Performing daily operational farm tasks as directed by the management team.
-Maintaining station infrastructure, specifically fencing, pipelines, and electric fence systems.
-Assisting with cattle yard work, drafting, and low-stress stock handling.
-Coordinating the movement of cattle mobs between rotational grazing blocks.
-Monitoring calving cows and providing veterinary/handling assistance when required.
-Safely operate heavy machinery, including tractors and front-end loaders, for feeding and maintenance.
-Conducting routine inspections of water troughs and critical water delivery infrastructure.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
-Minimum of a relevant Certificate III qualification or at least one year of relevant experience.
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
-Experience with farm and feedlot plant operation.
-Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repairs.
-Basic knowledge of specific milling machinery, including maintenance and repair abilities.
-An attention to detail and focus on accuracy
-An ability to manage and develop a small team of employees.
-A positive and energetic persona.
-Ability to work well in a team and autonomously as required.
Annual salary will be between $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
