Salary: $95 K - $100 K plus superannuation

Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years' experience in the same field
2. Certificate IV or Diploma in Building Design, Drafting, or Architecture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Developing early design concepts into clear sketches and progressing them into detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
2. Inspecting work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards
3. Calculating costs and estimating time scales
4. Collecting data using surveying instruments and photogrammetric equipment
5. Performing routine computations and plotting preliminary data
6. Assisting Construction Managers, Architects and Surveyors in planning and organisation interpreting plans, regulations and codes of practice
7. Preparing preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications
8. Preparing, editing and revising plans, maps, charts and drawings
9. Coordinating works programs
10. Working closely with clients and collaborating seamlessly with builders, surveyors, engineers, landscapers, suppliers, architects, building designers, local authorities, and building certifiers.
11. Assisting construction managers, architects, and surveyors in planning, organizing, and executing project tasks.
12. Coordinating work programs and monitoring project workflows to ensure timely delivery.
13. Conducting inspections of work and materials to ensure they meet specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
14. Attending regular site visits to track construction progress and helping to resolve technical issues as they arise.
15. Estimating project costs, calculating timelines, and contributing to feasibility assessments where required.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

1. Hands-on work creating plans, elevations, and sections for residential or commercial projects.
2. Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
3. Ability to interpret sketches and convert them into precise plans.
