Salary: $83,000 plus 12 % superannuation

Position: Full time, permanent

Our client, SAP BUILT PTY LTD trading as AUSDREAM BUILT, is a Sydney-based residential construction company specialising in bespoke residential building projects including new homes, duplexes, knockdown rebuilds, granny flats and multi-dwelling developments across Greater Sydney. The business is committed to delivering high-quality construction solutions supported by modern design, sustainable building practices and end-to-end project management services.

The client is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsperson to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who has experience supporting residential construction and architectural documentation projects from concept through to construction stage.

The successful candidate will assist in preparing practical architectural drawings and documentation while collaborating with builders, consultants and project stakeholders to ensure all designs comply with Australian building standards and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

-Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related field.-

-Minimum 1–2 years of relevant industry experience in architectural drafting or residential construction projects

In this role your main responsibilities include:

-Preparing architectural drawings, plans, layouts and detailed documentation using CAD software

-Assisting with drafting documentation for residential building projects including duplexes, custom homes and granny flats

-Working closely with builders, consultants and project managers to ensure project requirements are achieved

-Coordinating design information with engineers, certifiers and other consultants

-Modifying and updating drawings based on project variations and client requirements

-Ensuring drawings comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and council requirements

-Assisting with preparation of documentation for approvals and construction purposes

-Conducting site visits where required to verify measurements and resolve drafting issues

-Maintaining organised project documentation and drawing records

-Supporting the delivery of projects from design development through to construction stage

Other key skills and experience will include:

-Experience using AutoCAD or similar drafting software

-Understanding of residential construction methods and building documentation

-Knowledge of Australian building standards, codes and regulations

-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans

-Good organisational and communication skills

-Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment

-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet project deadlines
