What you will do:

1. Install, commission, maintain, and repair residential, commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split systems, ducted systems, refrigeration units, and associated equipment.
2. Interpret plans, technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine installation methods and system layouts.
3. Install mounting brackets, pipework, ducting, condensers, evaporators, compressors, motors, controls, and related mechanical components.
4. Cut, bend, braze, weld, and connect refrigeration and air conditioning pipework, ensuring accurate alignment and compliance with industry standards.
5. Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, evacuation, and refrigerant charging procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
6. Test, commission, and adjust system controls, thermostats, and operating parameters to ensure optimal system performance.
7. Diagnose faults in refrigeration circuits, electrical systems, controls, and mechanical components, carrying out repairs and component replacements as required.
8. Perform preventative maintenance and servicing activities to maximise equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
9. Record service activities, fault findings, repairs completed, and recommendations for future maintenance.
10. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian Standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and company procedures.

What you should have:

1. Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent qualification.
2. 3 years of relevant industry experience as an Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic.
3. Strong understanding of HVAC&R systems, refrigeration principles, and fault-finding techniques.
4. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and service documentation.
5. Experience working with a variety of commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
6. Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Current driver's licence.
