Agricultural Technician

Katunga Fresh Trading Pty Ltd is a Victorian-based company operating within the agricultural sector. The company is a large-scale producer of tomatoes for the Australian market. We currently have a vacancy for an Agricultural Technician at out Katunga production facility in regional Victoria.

Position Description - Agricultural Technician

The Agricultural Technician role is responsible for implementing and monitoring growing strategies in crop production cycles to maximise output levels and cultivate high standard of commercial produce. Agricultural Technicians are deployed throughout the company’s production facilities and subject to assignment, utilise agritech to perform routine tests and conduct experiments across agri-systems, ensuring crop health and quality control, collated data frequently submitted to consulting agronomist.

Key skills and experience required:

1. AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or higher qualification, or alternatively, three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications (with overseas obtained qualifications being considered where the qualification is assessed as suitable);
2. One (1) year of work experience in the occupation or 3 years where applicant relies on work experience in lieu of formal qualifications;
3. Experience in vertical growth hydropincs;
4. Proficiency in the English language;
5. Excellent communication – both written and verbal;
6. Strong understanding of workplace WHS procedures;
7. Ability to commute to Katunga in Regional Victoria daily for work.

We currently have a vacancy for the position of Agricultural Technician. The salary level on offer for the positions is $76,515.00 per annum (plus superannuation).
