Aged or Disabled Carer

About the Role

Serene Residential Care is a boutique 43-bed aged care facility dedicated to respectful, compassionate care. We are seeking an Aged or Disabled Carer to provide high-quality support to our residents. This role is a perfect match for a professional who thrives on providing person-centered care within a residential environment.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assisting residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming with dignity.
2. Assisting residents with their mobility and safe transfers throughout the facility.
3. Providing genuine companionship, friendship, and emotional support to residents.
4. Accompanying aged and disabled residents during their daily activities and scheduled appointments.
5. Preparing food for residents and assisting with mealtime requirements.
6. Arranging and participating in social activities to promote well-being.
7. Performing housekeeping tasks, including vacuuming and cleaning, to ensure a comfortable living space for residents.
8. Assisting with shopping and running necessary errands as required for resident care

Requirements

1. Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability
2. Minimum 2 years relevant experience in aged care or disability support
3. Current National Police Check
4. NDIS Worker Screening Check
5. Current First Aid and CPR
6. Strong communication skills and a caring attitude

Roster and Pay

1. Rotating roster including morning, afternoon, and night shifts
2. Regular weekend shifts required
3. Attractive hourly rate in line with the relevant Award
4. Penalty rates for weekends and public holidays
