Accountant

We provide comprehensive accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse range of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as individual clients. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join our professional team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad client base while contributing to the delivery of high-quality accounting and taxation services.

Key responsibilities include

• Managing end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of business and individual clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

• Preparing statutory financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other management reports.

• Examining accounting records, financial statements, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Preparing and reviewing Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST returns, payroll tax returns, and other statutory reports.

• Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial records to maintain data integrity.

• Analysing financial information and identifying trends, risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for business improvement.

• Assisting clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial performance analysis.

• Maintaining and improving accounting systems, financial processes, and internal controls to support effective financial management.

• Liaising with clients, the Australian Taxation Office, and other regulatory authorities regarding accounting matters.

• Assisting with audits, reviews, and compliance activities as required.

Ideal candidate for this role

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or related field

• At least one year of relevant accounting experience

• Experience in Xero, MYOB, Word and Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent communication skills for dealing with clients

• Self-motivated and team player

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.

• Multi-lingual in Chinese/English is desirable
