About the Role
RAMEX COMMERCIAL SERVICES PTY LTD is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our growing team in Norwest, NSW. As our Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting business decision-making through reliable financial data.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies and supporting strategic financial planning
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for presentation to management, directors, and relevant stakeholders
- Examining operating costs, income, and expenditure to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimisation
- Analysing financial performance and preparing reports to support decision-making processes
- Conducting financial investigations and preparing reports on matters such as financial performance, irregularities, and operational efficiency
- Providing assurance regarding the accuracy of financial reports and their compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Preparing and lodging taxation returns for individuals and organisations, ensuring compliance with Australian taxation laws (including BAS, GST, etc.)
- Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, financial plans, and operational strategies
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with audits and liaising with external auditors by preparing necessary documentation and reports
- Maintaining internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity and company assets
- Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and implementation of appropriate accounting software
- Liaising with financial institutions and brokers where required to support financial arrangements and operations
- Monitoring cash flow and assessing financial risks, including capital investment considerations
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience as an Accountant or Assistant Accountant
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Australian taxation regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organisational ability
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Work from home opportunity available 2-3 days per week for right candidate.
